Twitter Logo Changed: Elon Musk Replaces Twitter’s Blue Bird to ‘Doge’ Meme

On Monday, Twitter users discovered that the Twitter logo has been changed to the “doge” meme, which is a component of the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency logo and was made as a joke in 2013.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has returned with further modifications for the microblogging platform. This time, he has replaced the recognisable blue bird emblem, which served as the web version’s home button, with the “doge” meme of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.

The Shiba Inu dog’s face can be seen in the “doge” meme. Kabosu, the dog who inspired the #Doge meme and the #Dogecoin money, is still housed with her owner Atsuko Sato in Sakura, Japan.

The Annoucement on Twitter:

The “doge” meme is in the car and informs the policeman, who seems to be looking at his driver’s licence, that his photo has been updated, in a funny post that Musk shared on his Twitter account.

Changes on the Twitter Mobile App

Notably, the Twitter mobile app remained unchanged. It is important to note that the Shiba Inu-based doge graphic is well-known as the logo of the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency, which was developed in 2013 as a joke to parody other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, according to ANI quoting Variety.

Furthermore, the snapshot of the interaction between the anonymous account and Twitter’s CEO from March 26, 2022, in which the latter requested to alter the bird logo to “doge,” was also released by the company’s CEO. Musk tweeted a link to this article and added, “As promised.”

Several users are left speculating as to whether the billionaire’s recent replacement of Twitter’s homepage logo with a Doge meme was an April 1st joke or a long-lasting modification.

According to some accounts, the second-richest man in the world may simply be having a bad day because of his Dogecoin lawsuit.

With the caption “The new CEO of Twitter is wonderful,” Musk previously posted a picture of a “Doge” meme seated in a chair and sporting a CEO t-shirt.

Updates in the Cryptocurrency – Dogecoin

Reuters reports that investors have launched a $258 billion lawsuit against Musk, accusing him of operating a pyramid scheme to support the cryptocurrency Dogecoin.

Investors assert that Musk purposefully increased Dogecoin’s price by more than 36,000% over the course of two years before allowing it to plummet.

Software developers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer first developed Dogecoin in 2013 as a lighthearted parody of other cryptocurrencies that were then being sold on the market.

Dogecoin prices have risen once more as a result of Musk’s recent shenanigans; the cryptocurrency’s value climbed by as much as 30% after Twitter decided to use the Doge meme logo as its homepage.
